Questions
Frequently asked.
What Holly is, how she works, and what happens to your email. Short answers — reply to any brief if you want a longer one.
Is Holly free?
Yes. The free tier sends a personalized brief once a week — no credit card required. A $3/month upgrade moves you to the daily brief, delivered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.
How does Holly personalize my brief?
You tell her what you like — once at signup, and any time after by replying to a brief in plain English ("more horror," "less awards season," "shorter"). She turns those signals into preferences and weights what she sends you accordingly. There are no settings forms or sliders to fiddle with.
What news sources does Holly read?
She follows established entertainment trade publications — Variety, Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter and their peers — and grounds release and air dates against The Movie Database (TMDB) so they don't drift between briefs. Each item credits the publication that reported it.
Can I really just reply to the email?
Yes — replies are the whole point. Holly reads your reply, adjusts your preferences, and the next brief reflects it. It's a morning brief that talks back, not a one-way newsletter.
Will you sell my data or fill my inbox?
No. Holly uses your email only to send your brief and the occasional account note. We never sell your data or share it with advertisers, and you can pause or delete everything from settings at any time.
How do I cancel?
The free tier has nothing to cancel — pause or delete it from settings whenever you like. Paid subscriptions cancel from the billing portal in settings and run to the end of the current billing period.
